Content rules
Last updated
moime is for individual creators: photographers, stylists, makers, musicians, coaches and anyone who wants one page for their work. These rules say what can't be on a moime page, including what a page links to. They are part of the terms of service.
We look at what a page says, links to and shows. The rules apply to every page, whether it is public, unlisted or private, and to usernames, profile images and bios.
Zero tolerance
For these, we remove the content, close the account and block the person from making a new one. Where the law requires it, we report to the authorities.
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexualised content involving minors.
- Sexual content shared without consent, including intimate images.
- Content that promotes or organises terrorism or violent extremism.
- Malware, phishing pages, fake log-in pages, or links to them.
Not allowed
For these, we hold or remove the content and may suspend the account.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or prescription medicine sold without a prescription.
- Selling weapons, ammunition, explosives or weapon parts, or instructions for making them.
- Pornography or sexually explicit content, links to adult sites, sexual services, or adult subscription platforms.
- Scams, including:
- “get rich quick” or guaranteed-income offers;
- multi-level marketing recruitment;
- fake giveaways;
- unlicensed lending.
- Impersonating a person, a brand or a professional (for example, posing as a doctor or a lawyer without being one).
- Hate, harassment, threats, or encouraging violence.
- Encouraging self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. Links to help and support are allowed.
- Gambling and betting.
- CBD products, for now. While moime's payments are in beta, pages that sell or promote CBD aren't allowed.
- Dating services and paid companionship. A personal page that mentions you are dating is fine.
- Spam, and registering names in order to resell them.
- Anything that breaks the law where you are or where your visitors are, or someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
Allowed with care
- Swimwear, fitness and fashion photos are allowed. Sexualised poses, or photos that focus on exposure, are not.
- Artistic nudity (painting, sculpture, art photography) is held for review by a person before the page goes public. It is not removed automatically, and holding it doesn't mean you did something wrong.
- Alcohol, tobacco and vaping: a link to a legal shop is allowed. Nothing is sold on moime itself, and you must follow the age rules for your products.
- Supplements are allowed without medical claims, and never with moime payments.
What we do
- moime may review any page, and may hold a page before it goes public. Pages are checked when they are published: links against Google Safe Browsing, and the page itself by an automated review. The automated review never removes anything or closes an account; it can only ask a person to look first.
- We may remove content, suspend or close accounts, and block re-registration. Where the content is harmful we act without notice.
- When your page is held or removed, we email you what was held and why, and how to ask for another look. Reply to that email, or write to hello@moime.app, and a person will look again.
- Paid plans are not refunded when an account is closed for breaking these rules.
Reporting a page
Anyone can report a page, without an account: use “Report this page” at the bottom of the page, or email hello@moime.app with the page address and what is wrong. For anything involving a child or an immediate danger to someone, contact the police or your local emergency number too.
